   THE MARKETING STORE, our custom merchandise division, specializes in the creation of imprinted promotional and advertising merchandise, as well as custom souvenirs and destination style merchandise for gift shops and retail stores. DIFEDE MARKETING AND PROMOTIONS, our marketing services division, is a full service marketing agency providing for the needs of our clientele.
   The president and owner of our company, Jerry J. DiFede, first began in the industry in 1980 after studying both marketing and commercial art. After serving as the director of the Downtown Graphics Division for the county of Palm Beach, Florida, he relocated to Los Angeles where he was named the advertising manager for a large trade magazine. He also served as the operations manager for the magazine's in house commercial printing operation. In 1987, Mr. DiFede decided to return home to South Florida were he formed an advertising agency that specialized primarily in print brokerage and tangible media. The company, The Ad Agency mainly served the busy Southeast Florida area. After five very successful years, the company was moved to Key West. The southernmost island in the Florida Keys. A chain of coral islands stretching about one hundred fifty miles southwest of Miami. 
   In late 1992, The Marketing Store® was created. The agency's primary focus was changed to service the promotional products and advertising specialty market with a separate division to handle the souvenir and destination merchandise markets. With an emphasis on Down Island, Caribbean and Southern California tourism, as well as the production and promotion of events, shows, festivals, etc. With our two divisions, we are one of the most complete and comprehensive company's around! In 1995, to better serve a quickly growing national clientele, our web site internet division. MarketingandPromotions.com™ was created. And most recently, due to the growing demand and client demographics, in 2003 we moved our headquarters to San Diego, in sunny southern California! Now, with representatives in Key West and San Diego, we truly have nationwide coverage!
